To find out if you have a Mercury 2 Stroke Model 10 Outboard Factory Service on your boat, there are two possible ways that you can do. You can take the complete engine housing apart and look for a brand name etched in or stamped into the block. If you cannot detect this, then you should inspect the engine's serial number. The serial number is located on either side of the crankshaft at its forward end.
